Work Update Week 3

This week in 9T, we were working on Slam Dunk Paragraphs. A Slam Dunk Paragraph is structured paragraph which you can use in writing.

This is an example of what we were doing with the paragraph.

Start with a question that you intend to answer in your writing. Next is an Adverb Start, so start the next sentence with an adverb. This sentence should hint at your answer to the question you asked at the start. After the Adverb Start, you need to give Evidence to support the answer to your question. Then you tell us the impact of the Evidence. Finally, you finish with a Slam Dunk, a very short sentence of 5 words or less to sum up what you said.

This type of paragraph can be used in arguments, it will make them stronger and really bring home your argument!
